   Nico is the CEO and founder of Big Time Productions. She began her career as an intern at WSVN-FOX channel 7 in Florida and quickly moved on to Bozeman, Montana where she was a field reporter and fill in anchor at KTVM-NBC channel 6. Nico went on to become the Piedmont Triads weekend anchor in North Carolina at WGHP-FOX channel 8. Currently she is the executive producer for the television show "DC Latino" where she creates and organizes the weekly formats and the story segments for the show.
   
   Nico has covered stories like President Bush's arrival to North Carolina on his flying hotel suite known to many of us as Air Force One. She produced and hosted a segment for UMTV-called Fashion Files showcasing the "what's hot ... and what's not" in trendy Miami for which she received an honorable mention from the National Broadcast Society AERho. Additionally, she received an award from the Society of Professional Journalist Northwest Excellence in Journalism for a report she did called "First Snow". Nico worked on a latino animal show called Planeta Vivo..right along side her esteemed colleagues Gipsy Rodriguez and Juan Carlos Diaz…where Gipsy wrangled a small crocodile and Nico come pluck the little thing off of her!

   Nico is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and National Press Photographers Association. She graduated from The University of Miami earning a degree in Communications with an emphasis on Broadcast Journalism and a degree in Spanish.

   Nico Belha joined the FOX8 news family in July of 2005. Nico, who grew up in Miami, began her journalism career when she interned at WSVN 7 while attending the University of Miami. This only confirmed her desire to become a reporter.
   
   After getting her journalism degree, Nico headed west where she was a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor for KTVM news in Bozeman, Montana. She was a one-man band: shooting, writing and editing her own stories. Nico was given the Pacific Northwest Excellence in Journalism Award from the Society of Professional Journalists for her general news story "First Snow". She has also received an honorable mention from the National Broadcasting Society for a feature called "Fashion Files".
   
   She is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. Nico is of Colombian descent and can often be heard chatting with her family on her cell phone in Spanish,when suddenly she'll switch to English.
   
   She is the mother of three very fat cats and says, "I'm excited to be in North Carolina where I can lend an ear to the growing Hispanic community."

   Nico Belha joins Fox's WGHP-TV in High Point, N.C., as a weekend anchor, leaving KTVM-TV in Bozeman, Mont. where she worked as a reporter. Belha also won the 2005 Society of Professional Journalists Northwest Excellence in Journalism award for general news.
