Ruby Corine Belgum

Ruby Corine Huff Belgum, 78, of Port Angeles, Wash., died May 22, 2000.

She was cremated and there were no funeral services.Her remains will be scattered over the mountains of Port Angeles and Puget Sound.

She was born to Rolla Austin and Ida Mabel (Harger) Huff in Fort Scott, Kan., where she also received her schooling.She moved to San Diego, Calif., and was a band saw operator during World War II.After the war, she was employed for many years as a telephone order clerk for Brunswick Wholesale Drug Co.

She married Merrill K. Belgum in Yuma, Ariz., on April 9, 1944.They lived and traveled throughout the United States and many countries because of her husband's military career with the Navy and as a field service representative with the Navy and Marine Corps.

In 1985, they made Port Angeles their permanent home.

She is survived by her husband and preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
