DALLAS -Kat Belew, a recent graduate of Texas A&M University, has been named marketing coordinator for the Texas A&M University System Agricultural Research and Extension Center at Dallas.
Belew, a Mount Pleasant native, will be responsible for marketing programs and organizing conferences and meetings at the center, which is headquarters for Texas Agricultural Experiment Station scientists and Texas Cooperative Extension specialists in North Central Texas.
She will also lead tours of the center and coordinate the Texas A&M Invitational Golf Tournament in Dallas in addition to serving as chair for the center's State Employee Charitable Campaign.
"I'm excited about the opportunity to work with such a talented team of individuals," Belew said. "I'm looking forward to putting together programs for public and private groups."
Before joining the center on March 12, Belew was a consultant for Texas A&M's writing center and a graduate teaching assistant in the university's agricultural economics department.
Belew earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture and applied economics from Texas Tech University and a master's degree in agribusiness from Texas A&M.
