Mrs. Charlene Belew took over duties as the HD agent on January 1, 2001. The 360 image is of Mrs. Belew as she works trying to get things organized in her new surroundings. Most of her office supplies is still in boxes. Mrs. Belew is a native West Texan having grown up in Glasscock County on a farm in St. Lawrence. She attended public schools in Garden City and has an Associates degree from Howard College and a Bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University. She was an active member of 4-H for 11 years where she was a State 4-H Council member, National 4-H Record Book winner and a Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship recipient. She says she hopes to use her knowledge, skills and background to strengthen the Upton County 4-H program and to open the door to new opportunities for youth. She and her husband, Bart, lived in Wolfforth, Texas for 11 years before moving to Rankin. He is employed as manager of the Midkiff Farmer's Coop Gin Store.
