Vice President, Operations
Leland Belding's background in project management has been cultivated in both the public and private sectors. With BS degrees in civil and electrical engineering, he has executed a variety of projects in the areas of telecommunications and infrastructure planning. Equally skilled in crisis management, Belding has coordinated the efforts of federal and state agencies while serving as a Disaster Recovery Liaison Officer. He is a licensed professional engineer in the states of Iowa and Illinois.
Belding has served with distinction in the Army National Guard for 18 years and has been active in the design and delivery of numerous training programs. Belding was selected as Honor Graduate while attending the Engineer Officer Advanced Course and recently completed Command and General Staff College. He served as an enlisted Infantry soldier and Combat Medic before receiving his commission as an Army Engineer Officer. His duty assignments include Platoon Leader, Company Commander, Battalion and State Maintenance Officer, Liaison Officer, and Area Damage Control Officer.
Belding is an accomplished martial artist with black belts in Arnis, Kempo and Ju-Jitsu. As an avid martial scholar, his research has taken him on frequent visits to India. His study of the ancient Indian art of Kallaripayatt is the subject of an upcoming book project.
