Theta Belcher has been a teacher of drawing in the Art Department at San José State University and Assistant Gallery Director for the Natalie and James Thompson Art Gallery since 1988. A Bay Area resident for the last thirty years, Ms. Belcher has been interested in the visual arts her entire life. She taught art at both San José City College and after school art programs, and worked as both teacher and advisor for elementary and high school art programs. Ms. Belcher has served as a judge for the KPFA art auction, several local state fairs, high school competitions and the Los Gatos Museum. Her work has been exhibited in the San Francisco Bay Area for the past 20 years.
