Mrs. Ira M. Belcher

Mrs. Belcher was a graduate of Dormont High School in Pittsburgh . She received her bachelor of arts degree from Allegheny College in Meadville , and her masters in education from UCLA.

Mrs. Belcher taught Latin, French, English and Public Speaking, and taught French and Latin at Redbank Valley High School .

She was a pastor's wife for 35 years serving with her husband at Clarion First United Methodist Church from June 1961 through December 1963.She directed and performed in the "Challenge of the Cross" Easter drama in several communities.A past president of the Western Pennsylvania Ministers' Wives Association, she was a member of the St. Mark United Methodist Church in Santa Barbara , Calif.

Mrs. Belcher was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star, she was known for her award winning "chocolate sauce" recipe and did private tutoring of children with learning disabilities.
