   Ailish was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. She attended Sion Hill Montessori College in Dublin, where she received her A.M.I. certification for the Montessori education of children from the ages of three to six years, six to nine years, and nine to twelve years of age. She also holds the Benin Casa Diploma for Special Education. Ailish comes to IMS with eight years of teaching experience in both Primary and Elementary environments, as well as a year in the Special Children's Center in Ithaca. She has also freelanced as a copywriter for a website clothing company, and as an editor for a regional newspaper.
   
   After eleven wonderful years as a stay-at-home mom, the joys of teaching beckoned once again when her youngest child, Emma, reached kindergarten age, and the time seemed right to return to the magic of a Montessori classroom. Ailish joined IMS in the fall of 2000, and is enjoying her second year as Head Teacher in the Willow Room.
