   Our retired coroner Dr. Belau came over to me on the deck. Because he's the coroner, when he stands over someone they're usually dead. I told him to get away. Medical personnel asked me if I was allergic to anything and I said ‘obviously bullets.' Dr. Belau slapped me on my leg ten inches from where I got shot and said ‘He's gonna be just fine.'
   
   I was taken by helicopter to Saint Marys Hospital along with the suspect, who was sedated.
