Ms. McGrail Belau litigates various contractual, business, and automotive supplier disputes as well as some white collar criminal matters.She also specializes in asbestos defense, both locally and nationally for manufacturer, premises and retail clients.

Prior to joining Butzel Long, Ms. McGrail Belau practiced in Macomb County from 1996-1999 with her father, William J. McGrail, Jr., who is the City Attorney in Utica.

Prior to becoming a County Commissioner, Ms. McGrail Belau was chair of the Utica Charter Revision Commission, an elected position, for three years.

Following her tenure as a Macomb County Commissioner, Ms. McGrail Belau served as an assistant prosecutor in Macomb County where she had extensive trial experience.She successfully tried, to verdict, over fifty cases.She also practiced in the appellate division.

Ms. McGrail Belau is an active member of the Macomb Bar Association.She is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Michigan Bar Association, the Women's Economic Club and the DRI.

Ms. McGrail Belau graduated from Wayne State University (J.D., cum laude, Order of the Coif, 1996) and James Madison College at Michigan State University (B.A., 1993).She was an assistant and associate editor of the Wayne Law Review.
