    VIRGINIA BEACH -- Marjorie Winborne Belangia went to be with the Lord Nov. 8, 2002. She was 87.

    She worked as a beautician for W.G. Swartz and Rice's department stores in Norfolk for 50 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk, Kempsville Road, where she taught Sunday school and was a charter member of the Paul Mims Bible Class. She was also a member of Eastern Star, Westminister Chapter. She learned to drive a car at the age of 65.

    She is survived by her son, Richard T. Belangia and wife Lavonda of Virginia Beach; her stepson, Kenneth Alson Belangia and wife Wilma Jean of Florida; a daughter, Patricia Jane Padrick and husband Dean; two sisters, Carrie Love Garner and Jane Elizabeth Martin; a grandson, Robert Alson Belangia and wife Shannon; and a great-grandson, Robert Alson Belangia Jr., all of Virginia Beach. Her husband, Alson; a sister and two brothers predeceased her.

    She loved her family, neighbors and church and had formed many meaningful friendships over the years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and cared for her.

Worcester Drive, Virginia Beach, at other times.
