   Richard Bélanger, born in 1957, nominee trustee of the Fund, trustee of the Trust and GP Director, has more than 25 years of experience in business development, financing and business management. Since 1993, he has served as President of Toryvel Group Inc., an investment firm of which he is the co-owner. Mr. Bélanger also acts as President of Stetson Timberlands, Inc., since 1988, and as President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the audit committee of Theseus Capital Inc., since 2005. He also serves as Chairman of the audit committee and director on the board of Banque Laurentienne du Canada and he sits on the board of directors and the audit committee of Stella-Jones Inc. Mr. Bélanger is a Fellow of the Quebec Order of Chartered Accountants and he is a graduate from Laval University.

   As part of the agreement, Richard Bélanger, President of Daaquam Lumber, will be joining Canfor's senior management team. Bélanger will continue to drive the performance of Daaquam and will also be responsible for Canfor's eastern growth strategy.

   Richard Bélanger was appointed Senior Vice-President, Eastern Operations and Corporate Development in May 2003. Prior to this, Richard was President and CEO of Bois Daaquam Inc., an operation purchased by Canfor in 2003.
   
   Richard, a Chartered Accountant, has been directly involved in the forest sector since 1987 when, as a minority shareholder in the company, he became Executive Vice-President of Bois Daaquam Inc. Richard graduated with his Bachelors Degree in Sciences and Administration from the University of Laval and is a member of the Order of Chartered Accountants of Quebec.
