This Sunday, January 12th, we've arranged to have DJ Jim Belanger bring some of his record boxes up from the Windy City and throw down some tracks for you.Mr. Belanger has been a fixture in Chicago for a long time, playing at many of Chicago's most popular nightspots.

Currently, Jim is the musical director at Domaine, one of Chicago's newest clubs in Chicago's affluent Gold Coast.He's also part of the team that produces Fireball, Chicago's huge February circuit event. (www.thefireball.com)

For the past two decades, DJ Jim Belanger has, as one of Chicago's most prolific DJ's, never been satisfied with just playing the hits.He believes that it is the DJ's job not only to play crowd favorites, but also to push the crowd in a direction they have yet to explore.

In his sets, Jim plays both the expected and unexpected, as he skillfully blends current club favorites with the edgier sounds of the underground.His broad musical repertoire allows him to be comfortable behind the decks in a packed club at peak-hour, during the chilled atmosphere of a morning party, or at a Sunday T-Dance.

It is at the T-Dance where Jim's artistry truly shines as he takes his audience on a blissful journey consisting of uplifting vocals and rare white label mixes.Over the course of his 19-year professional career Jim has played in Germany, England, France, Puerto Rico, and all across the U.S.He has held residencies at many of Chicago's legendary nightspots including Crobar, Vortex, Manhole, Fusion, Domaine, Spy Bar, and Glow.His set is not to be missed.
