  Every experience must have an end and every end is a new beginning.Come join our Assistant Minister as she reflects on the ministry of this beloved community and her time with us.
  ...
  Among those leaving us for far away places and a new home is our Assistant Minister, Amber Beland.
  
  Amber came to us two and half years ago with the promise of deepening and strengthening UUCA's Life Span Faith Development.She inherited several program areas that were struggling and several that existed merely on paper.She leaves with those areas firmly grounded and with bright futures.But maybe more important than the programmatic work she did or what she brought to the Management Team or contributions she made to UUCA's structural vision or the leadership and support she gave to district groups and teams - just as valued as these is the ministry she offered to those at UUCA who are often on the edges of our congregational life: our youth, young adults, those challenged by intimate group dynamics (real and virtual), Amber's ministry has left a lasting, positive impression on UUCA; her ministry will be remembered as a turning point in the deepening and broadening of the ministry we all share.

  Amber has been our Assistant Minister of Life Span Faith Development for the past 2½ years.She has provided support for the Pathwork Program, the Covenant Group Steering Committee, Young Adult Ministry, the YRUU advisors, the Children's R.E. program, the Welcoming Congregation, the Management Team, the Senior Minister, the Anti-Racist Transformation Team, countless members who have sought her counsel and many district-wide initiatives.

  I noticed something at our first ministerial intern Amber Beland's ordination last weekend.I was standing around with my colleagues in a back room, talking about Iraq, and Hurricane Katrina, and You Know Who.
