   Carla obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University in 1987 and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Victoria in 1991. She articled with a major Vancouver law firm and was called to the BC Bar in 1992. Carla then clerked with the Tax Court of Canada before returning to British Columbia to practice law in Abbotsford.
   
   Carla comes to Robertson, Downe & Mullally from the "Provincial Litigation Services" Department of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia. She is a part-time sessional instructor in the legal assistant program at the Vancouver Community College and Law Courts Centre in Vancouver. The Law Courts' magazine, "Briefly", has published some of Carla's articles, as well as a manual she has written, entitled "Secrets to Preparing a Defence Trial". Carla sits on the Canadian Bar Association (BC Branch) Committee on Automobile Insurance, and she was recently appointed to the Canadian Bar Association (BC Branch) Members' Dispute Resolution Committee, the Canadian Bar Association (BC Branch) ) Court Services Committee, and the Canadian Bar Association (BC Branch) Judicial Advisory Committee.
   
   Carla is an Abbotsford native and continues to reside in the Fraser Valley. Her community interests include several years of service with "Soroptimist", the New Westminster Bar Association and she currently serves as a director of the MSA Museum Society. Carla will be practicing primarily in the area of personal injury, insurance defence and general litigation matters.
