   According to Project Coordinator Leslie Bek, "Phase one was intended to increase awareness and educate potential outreach partners about the MIChild health insurance program. Once that was accomplished, we began collecting commitments from groups and organizations willing to assist in taking that message or outreaching to others."
   
   Bek states that over 60 partners answered that call during Phase I. Outreach activities, such as posters, brochures, presentations to groups, and notices in newsletters, have taken place throughout the region in the past six months.
   
   Phase II is intended to be ongoing and bears the slogan, "Maintaining the Effort - Sustaining the Commitment." According to Bek, Phase II will not end until 100% of eligible children in the Upper Peninsula are enrolled.
