   The tests all yielded negative results, according to team physician Dr. Raffy Bejar, recently appointed medical director of the Philippine Long Distance Company.

   "Nobody knew we were going to administer the tests," said Dr. Bejar, who used the same process employed by the PBA in its program.
   
   "Management wanted to make sure everybody was conforming to the rules and regulations enforced not only be the league but also by the ball club," added Dr. Bejar in the wake of recent high-profile incidents involving several PBA players.
   
   "They've been told to stay away from fat-burners and energy-boosters because these can contribute to false-positive results the way they did to some players in the past."
   
   Acting as consultant to Dr. Bejar in the Phone Pals' drug testing program is Dr. Gene Mapala, head of the detoxification unit of the Dr. Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital.
