   Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) has named Rick Beitel Vice President of Global Sales, Performance Specialties. In this position, Beitel is responsible for sales growth for those businesses comprising the Performance Specialties division, including: Transportation & Industrial Lubricants & Greases, Urethane Products, Optical Monomers, Organicometallic Catalysts & Compounds, and Fluorines. Prior to this, as Vice President of Sales Excellence, he worked to achieve key growth objectives for Chemtura's global sales organization.

   MIDDLEBURY, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 17, 2006--Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM - News) has named Rick Beitel Vice President of Sales Excellence. In this newly created position in the Strategy, New Business and Technology area, Beitel will be responsible for working with the Chemtura global sales organization to make sure it has the tools, training and developmental opportunities to achieve key growth objectives. He will be in charge of identifying and implementing best practices across Chemtura's world-wide sales operations.
