Karen Beitel, Research and Project Coordinator
Karen Beitel is a Reserarch and Project Coordinator at KTA Inc. and the KTA Centre for Collaborative Government.Since joining the firm in February, 2005, Karen has provided consultation assistance to senior consultants on several organzational planning projects.In addition to her role as a project coordinator, her activities have included network building, stakeholder engagement, communications,research and writing, and project management.
Karen has worked closely with lead consultants and associates on many KTA projects.She has assisted with the development of strategic plan for the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) and has been involved in the OMA's governance review.Most recently, she acts as a coordinator for the Diagnostic Services Committee, a joint initiative of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, the OMA, and the Ontario Hospital Association.
Over the last year, Karen has also focused her efforts on initiatives with the Crossing Boundaries National Council.She has organized several forums and roundtables, facilitated small group session, and assisted with the publication of numerous reports.In addition to this, she has researched and written on a wide range of issues on technology and government.
Prior to joining KTA, Karen managed the General Interest Division of Continuing Education at the University of St. Michael's College in the University of Toronto.While in this capacity, she coordinated several international academic conferences and symposia.She also managed several certificate programs, including the Certificate Program in Corporate Social Responsibility.As an undergraduate at the University of Toronto, Karen was a research and teaching assistant for the Department of East Asian Studies.
