Fr. Beirne attended St. Bernard's Seminary in Rochester, New York and was ordained a priest on June 9, 1962.
He served as assistant pastor at St. Mary Parish in Carolina, the Cathedral of SS. Peter & Paul and St. Mark Parish in Cranston. Fr. Beirne lived in residence at St. Augustine Parish in Providence while serving as Chaplain of RI Hospital and Roger William Hospital and was Pastor of St. Rita Parish in Warwick before becoming Pastor of our parish in January of 1991. -
