Michael Beirne Mr. Beirne has over 20 years of experience in the technology business, principally in sales and business operations. As a business owner for 13 years, he successfully managed and adapted his company responding to the changing issues of the technology marketplace.
In 1991, Mr. Beirne founded Partners Computer Systems, a Canadian Top 100 Value Added Reseller, achieving revenues of $ 7 million CDN. In 2000, he reinvented the company as TotalUptime and positioned it to address the needs of small- and medium-sized businesses by offering a monthly subscription plan. Users who subscribed to TotalUptime received coverage that included a combination of technology leasing and a monthly services regimen. In 1986, Mr. Beirne co-founded Packard Bell Canada. As National Sales Manager, and with a staff of 4, Mr. Beirne and his team achieved double digit market share with annual sales of over $75 million CDNâ€"all within 18 months. The company successfully created a new market by retailing PCs with innovations such as four-colour packaging. In 1989, Mr. Beirne joined Westbridge Computer Corporation (formed by the merger of SaskTel Computer Corp. and LeaseCorporation).
