   "We are grateful to the Farmville Women's Club for presenting this wonderful concept to our organization," commented Clark Beil, Interim CEO/President of SCH.

   "We seek accreditation for our organization because we want to be the best," says Clark Beil, interim President and CEO. "We view obtaining Joint Commission accreditation as another step toward excellence. Our staff is very supportive of the process. It gives them a feeling of prestige to work in an accredited organization," says Mr. Beil. "They appreciate the educational aspect of the survey and the opportunity to interact with the Joint Commission team," he said.
   
   Mr. Beil called the accreditation, "proof of the organization's commitment to provide quality care on an ongoing basis." Mr. Beil also expressed his thanks to all of the employees, board members, and medical staff for their contributions to a successful survey, especially Claudia Meinhard, Director of Quality Management, for her dedication and enthusiasm.

   Clark Beil, Southside's interim president, said he was positive no patients there had received the blood.
   
   "If one of our patients had received blood from this lot, we would have known immediately," Beil said.
