Father David Reinhart, President Designate of Cardinal Stritch High School (CSHS) has appointed Anthony (Tony) Beier as the head football coach for the Mighty Cardinals

Beier replaces Chris Fahim who resigned as head football coach at the end of the 2004 season to focus on his responsibilities as athletic director.

Beier is no stranger to Stritch or the Stritch Family.His Uncle Mike served as head football coach at CSHS in the early 70's.Tony's father is the late Fred Beier who was the longtime, successful head coach for St. John's Jesuit High School."Growing up, my first high school football experiences were on the sidelines at Stritch watching my uncle coach," said Beier."In many ways, this is truly a dream come true for me to lead the program I grew up admiring."
Coach Beier will be inheriting a team that came within one game of the TAAC championship this past season."I coached in the TAAC for 5 years and I look forward to the competition and camaraderie within the league."He continued, "Northwest Ohio is one of the most competitive areas in the state for Division VI football and I plan on having our program consistently competing in the upper echelon.
Beier is a 1986 graduate of St. John's Jesuit High School in Toledo.He attended and played football at the University of Toledo.Tony will continue to serve as a reporter/columnist for the Mirror Newspaper in Maumee, Ohio.
He begins his responsibilities as coach immediately.
