    John Behar, Managing Director

    John Behar has more than fourteen years investment banking experience covering a wide range of financial products and deals across a broad geographical span including the European, Indian and US markets. He has a particular focus on leveraged and structured transactions having been centrally involved in private equity backed leveraged acquisitions worth more than ,8bn., but also has experience of corporate leveraged acquisitions, structured trade finance, and securitisations, as well as debt and equity listings on the London, Luxembourg and Singapore exchanges. Prior to establishing Prospect Capital in 2004, John was a corporate financier with Commerzbank and more recently assisted ICICI Bank (India's second largest bank) in setting up its independent UK subsidiary. A former fund manager and highly integrated member of the financial community in London, John combines comprehensive technical expertise, insights into the needs of management teams and owners, and an informed feel for investor appetite to provide effective solutions to financing problems. John is a graduate of Durham University and holds a finance MBA from Cass Business School.
