"We had a guy from Green Bay, Wisconsin, come down yesterday," Beckman said."And a few people visiting (relatives in Fort Madison) came from Phoenix."

Another couple from Mount Pleasant decided to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary by visiting the Minerville grounds, Beckman said.

And every volunteer on the grounds has a thing for the railroad or for trains as well.

"We have a great time," Beckman said.
