    Guys like Mike Beattie.

"How great is this!Three-on-three basketball, golf, Texas Hold 'Em," says Beattie, 35, of Tampa."This is perfect!"

Beattie and three friends plan to test their muscles, skill and luck against other teams of four next month during "the ultimate sports weekend for the average Joe."They'll spend May 6-7 shooting hoops and birdies, smacking home runs and hoping for a royal straight flush at the poker table.

"It's stuff guys do and enjoy anyway," says Beattie, chief financial officer for a Tampa educational materials firm and a formidable 5-foot-11, 240 pounds.

He and his teammates paid $125 each to enter the competition, to be held at Red Bug Lake Park and Deer Run Country Club in Casselberry, near Orlando.
