Patrick J. Beam

A planner and landscape architect for the bikeway, Patrick Beam, of Bassett Associates, said the bikeway now connects about eight parks with 7.8 miles of bikeway that also connects to nearly 12 miles of additional trail.

In the future, he said, they hope to connect the bikeway to The Ohio State University, Lima, and Rhodes State College campus.

Allen-East Local School District was honored for relocating a stream when the new school building was constructed about two years ago.
