    Originally from Tennessee, Ms. Beam graduated with High Honors from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and was selected for membership in the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society.After receiving her Bachelors Degree in English, she was awarded a Graduate Teaching Assistantship, which enabled her to teach Freshman Composition courses at the University while working on her Masters Degree in English.Ms. Beam later attended the University Of Maryland School Of Law where she graduated with Honors, was selected to serve as an Associate Editor on the MARYLAND LAW REVIEW, selected to be a Teaching Assistant to the Associate Dean, and was named a Writing Fellow.

    Ms. Beam is admitted to practice in both federal and state courts in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and West Virginia, where she currently resides.She has appeared in Maryland District and Circuit Courts and has argued before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.Her publications since becoming an attorney include: Restricting the Scope of Negligent Entrustment by Exempting Donors and Sellers from Liability, 57 MD.
