Phil Battle Policy Analyst

[Editor's Note: SSTI is excited to welcome Phillip Battle to its staff as a policy analyst.The author of this article, Phil recently received his Master in Public Affairs degree from the LBJ School at the University of Texas at Austin.His area of research interest is technology policy and economic development.]

Phillip BattlePhillip Battle is a policy analyst for SSTI, and a writer for the SSTI Weekly Digest and the monthly TBED Resource Center newsletter.Before joining SSTI, he worked with the Texas Emerging Technology Fund.As part of his master's report he provided an overview of that program with recommendations based on the practices of other state high-tech venture funds.Mr. Battle has also worked as a graduate research assistant at the IC2 Institute in Austin with the Central Texas Digital Convergence Initiative, as a researcher with the Central Texas High School Data Center, and as a member of the 2006 World Congress on Information Technology policy research team.He holds a M.P.Aff. from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin.
