Honolulu, Hawaii (September 17, 2003) - Bank of Hawaii has promoted William J. Barton, William P. Henry, Jr. and Howard M. Hodel to executive vice presidents in its Investment Services Group.

William (Bill) Barton, senior vice president and chief investment officer (CIO), has been promoted to executive vice president.He will continue his responsibilities as CIO and assume the added responsibility as head of the recently formed Investment Strategy Committee.The committee is responsible for economic forecasts, with an emphasis on the U.S. economic outlook, asset allocation and industry analysis.
Barton, a Chartered Financial Analyst, has been with Bank of Hawaii since 1985 when it acquired Hawaiian Trust Company.Prior to that, he was a vice president at Detroit Bank & Trust in Michigan (now Comerica Bank.)
Barton holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and an MBA from University of Michigan School of Business.
