Mark Barton, vice president for Trillium USA, says the decision to go with natural gas engines as its sole source for compressor drives in a predominately electric driven world was not an easy one. When Trillium made the decision to not only be a supplier of CNG equipment but an owner and operator as well, we were forced to review the economics and efficiencies of maintenance costs, reliability and durability, Barton said.

Barton said Trillium has a long-term relationship with the Dallas-based J-W which has more than 30 years compressor packaging experience.J-W has packaged over 3000 units and operates approximately 275,000 hp in its rental fleet, he said.We felt very confident that with this kind of experience, we could come up with a solution on the emission requirements.
Barton added that J-W was instrumental in the design and fabrication process and we were able to utilize their relationship with vendors such as Caterpillar, Ariel, ACE and the FWMurphy Co. for strong on-site support.
