Bartkowiak said the loss has been made easier by the remaining YMCA staff."Marcy left us with a great staff of people," he said."Things keep moving on."Griffen has taken a job with the Alger-Marquette Community Action Board. She could not be reached for comment.Bartkowiak said the YMCA is now accepting applications for Griffen's replacement. According to an advertisement for the position, the YMCA is looking for someone with five or more years of executive-level management experience, with skills in fiscal management, financial development, strategic planning, staff development and capital facility development. The Y would also prefer someone with knowledge of fund-raising and physical education facilities. The deadline for applications is May 23.Bartkowiak said applications are being sent to the Y's Milwaukee district office for initial review. The final decision on the new executive director will be made by the local YMCA board."Hopefully we'll have someone rise to the top as good as Marcy," he said.
