Barry says that developers are not against the concept of a sustainability reporting system, but fears that the SSR is so broad and so vague that development will be help up for very long periods of time costing not only developers time and money, but also denying the community more housing openings in what is a very tight housing market.
The Bow Valley Builders and Developers Association were one of many stakeholder groups that the Town asked for input, but Barry says that "by the time we were involved the matrix portion had already been approved, and the input that we did have on the process of the SSR was largely thrown out by council.">
