Many of the slides Barry presented involved the results of crashes caused by reckless or drunken drivers.

"It's about science and medicine and kinetic force, but for me, this presentation also allows me to get up on my soapbox to talk about the dangers of drinking and driving and not wearing a seat belt," Barry said.

And that there are men and women fighting to protect that freedom," Barry said.

For Barry, that freedom also includes the right to live safely without being harmed or having to be rushed to a trauma center.
