President - Citibank - Western Division
Lisa Barrett is president of Citibank North America's West division, a subsidiary of Citigroup.
Through approximately 400 financial centers in California and Nevada, the bank's Western division provides a full range of financial service products -- including deposit, investment, insurance and lending products -- to consumers and businesses.
At June 30, 2005, Citibank was ranked fifth in deposits in California and seventh in deposits in Nevada.
The division has approximately 5,000 employees.
Appointed Division Business Manager of Citibank North America's West division in 2006, Lisa Barrett began her Citibank career as a management associate in Upstate New York in 1981 and has held various management positions.
She relocated to California from New York City in 2001 and assumed responsibility for Citibank's 82-branch California/Nevada network while preparing it for expansion through acquisition.
In November 2002, Citigroup acquired California Federal Bank and its 350 branches in California and Nevada, and Lisa became Regional Business director for the 120-branch Greater Southern California region.
Lisa serves as co-chair of Citigroup's California Leadership Council, which comprises the leaders of Citigroup subsidiaries in the state, including CitiMortgage, CitiFinancial, the Citigroup Private Bank and Smith Barney.
The council oversees government relations, support for community/philanthropic, economic and educational organizations, as well as state-wide marketing and business opportunities.
Lisa serves on the corporate board for Junior Achievement for Southern California, the California Bankers Association, the SF Committee on JOBS, and LA Family Housing.
She has a B.S. in Marketing from the State University College of New York and an M.B.A. from Canisius College of Buffalo, New York.
