Ms. Melinda Barker

Melinda Barker joined Aaron, Riechert, Carpol & Riffle, APC in March 2006.

In May 2007, Ms. Barker earned, with honors, an LL.M (Master of Laws) in Taxation from Golden Gate University School of Law.While at Golden Gate she received advanced training in taxation issues relating to the areas of estate planning, charitable planning, business formation and succession, and post-mortem trust administration.

In 2004, Ms. Barker graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law.While at Santa Clara she received Witkin Awards in Tax Policy and Criminal Law and CALI Awards in Insurance Law and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals.She served as an Articles Editor on the Board on Santa Clara Law Review from 2003-2004.Her comment on the legality of school vouchers, "From Everson to Zelman: The Advent of ,True Private Choice' and the Erosion of the Wall Between Church and State" was published in Volume 44 of Santa Clara Law Review.In 2004, she served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable John F. Herlihy in Santa Clara County Superior Court.

Ms. Barker earned a B.A. in Political Science from Lewis and Clark College in 1995.
