Darren J. Barbo

Darren Barbo of Ludington (U.S. Marine Corps) graduated from basic training at the U.S. Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, Calif. in August 1998.He completed further infantry schooling at Camp Lejeune, N.C. and at Camp Pendleton, Calif.He has served as a Marine Reservist since 1998 at the Grand Rapids Naval and Marine Reserve Unit.He was recently moved to active duty status in January and has been deployed to the Horn of Africa serving in Operation Enduring Freedom.He is a 1994 graduate of Ludington High School and received his B.A. degree from Lake Superior State University.He is the son of Donald and Sally Barbo of Ludington.His address is: Darren J. * WO1 Shawn Bates is serving in the U.S. Army at Camp Udari with the 101st Airborne.He is a 1989 graduate of Mason County Central High School and enlisted in the Army in 1989.He is a veteran of Desert Storm and served in Bosnia.
