Mr. Ball began his career with Internal Revenue Service, where he was a manager in the Louisville District Examination (Audit) Division for eight years.

Mr. Ball earned a baccalaureate degree in accounting, with honors, from Eastern Kentucky University in 1982, and received his J.D. cum laude, from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 1993.

Mr. Ball is licensed to practice before the United States Tax Court and the Federal District Courts and state courts of Kentucky, as well as the Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.He also holds a Kentucky CPA certificate.

NARRATIVE

Mr. Ball has built a national estate planning practice, focusing on charitable giving techniques and creative strategies for the high net worth client market.He has worked directly with various charities to assist in their fund-raising efforts, both on an ongoing basis and for one-time capital campaigns.He also has established private foundations and public charities for individual clients.

Mr. Ball has developed, independently and in conjunction with others, various tax and estate planning vehicles to serve client needs.Prominent among these vehicles in the ACCESS Trust, an extremely popular vehicle for holding cash-value life insurance policies.The ACCESS Trust was developed to provide ultimate flexibility, allow the grantor access to cash, provide creditor protection and avoid estate inclusion.

BARS, COURTS AND PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Mr. Ball is an active member of the ABA Section of Taxation's Corporate Tax and Small Firm Lawyers Committees, ABA Real Property, Trust and Probate, and Business Law Sections, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Kentucky Society of CPAs, Personal Financial Planning Committee.

Mr. Ball has published technical tax articles and articles on appropriate methods of dealing with IRS in professional and legal periodicals.
