Housing subdivision places emphasis on conservation -... - [Cached Version]

A feeling of serenity on a lush mountaintop is the goal for the 353-acre subdivision, said A.J. Ball, developer of Pinnacle Falls, LLC.

"Over half of the property will be preserved for open space," he said."We wanted it to be a nontraditional, low-density community to give people the opportunity to enjoy the mountains without having all this scarring that can come with building in the mountains."

The subdivision is off Pinnacle Mountain Road in the Green River community. There is a 75- to 100-foot buffer zone between each property in the subdivision, which also has 3,000 feet of stream area in conservation easements, Ball said.
    ...
Homes can be custom built according to the lot owner's design, but all home designs must be approved by the company's design committee comprised of Ball, an architect and a landscape planner.

The gated subdivision will have a clubhouse constructed around an antique Canadian barn being shipped here, Ball said.
    ...
Construction of the clubhouse and installation of the subdivision's infrastructure -- including roads and utilities -- is expected to be complete in late 2007, Ball said.Sell-out of the subdivision lots will be finished in 2008.
