Mr. Balafas' primary responsibilities are originating, executing and monitoring Madison's investments in the Commercial and Industrial space. Most recently, Mr. Balafas was a Vice President at Global Leveraged Capital Management in New York, where he was responsible for sourcing, executing and monitoring senior debt and mezzanine investments in middle market companies. He invested over $200 million in transactions in the business services, media and telecom, healthcare, and building product industries. Prior to this, Mr. Balafas held positions at BNP Paribas, North Haven Partners and SG Cowen, where he focused on M&A, strategic recapitalizations and equity transactions. Mr. Balafas earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
