    PhD in Management and Administration including thesis on Offshore Pipeline Reliability Prediction, B.Sc H Honours degree in five years course of Chemical Engineering.Yiannis L. Bakouros is an Associate Professor at the University of Thessaly, School of Industrial Engineering.He has worked as a visiting Lecturer at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Engineering and as an external consultant of consultant companies responsible for the transfer and implementation of technology to the industry in major European and National programs.He was the Head of the Management Unit of the Regional innovation Programme-RIS of the Region of Thessaly, Greece and he currently manages the Hellenic-American Initiative for Technology Cooperation with the Balkans-ITCB.He has published a series of Academic Lectures Notes and is the author of the ‘'Reliability and Maintainability" book for the Open University.Main Research Interests: Reliability Prediction using discriminant analysis, Technology Transfer, Innovation Management, Project Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Policies in Europe and Regional Innovation and Technology Transfer Strategies.

    YIANNIS L. BAKOUROSYiannis L. BAKOUROS is a chemical engineer graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.He received his Ph.D. in management and administration, in 1988, from Bradford University, UK.

    After graduation he worked as Production Manager, Technical Advisor, Sales Manager in Industrial and Distribution Enterprises and Consultant Companies.He was visitor Assistant Professor at AUTh and University of Thessaly.He was responsible for Thessaloniki Technology Park development.He also served as Chairman of Eureka National Project Coordinators during the Greek Eureka Presidency.Currently he is an Assistant Professor at the University of Thessaly, Co-ordinator of the Initiative for Technological Cooperation with Balkans, Advisor and Head of Regional Innovation Strategy in Thessaly and Member of the Board of Directors of Thessaly Technology Park.

    His main scientific and research interest are innovation, technology management, regional development strategies, information management networks, reliability, maintenance, industrial health and safety.
