   Paul Bakke , executive director of Pathfinder , said this morning that the residential rehabilitation center is neither a homeless shelter nor a nuisance to neighbors.
   
   ''We have a very strict admission policy , '' he said. ''We've denied 75 percent of the clients who have been professionally referred to us because they weren't dedicated to recovery.
   
   ''We are an asset to the neighborhood. We keep the property up and the yards looking great.''.
   
   Bakke said Pathfinder , which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year , will hold an open house Sept. 16.

He is currently Executive Director of The Pathfinder , Inc. , a Residential Rehabilitation chemical dependency program located in Huntsville , Al. He was also the Program Director of the Paint Rock Valley Boys program of Three Springs long-term outdoor residential treatment facility for at-risk adolescent boys from across North America. His experience includes individual , group , and family therapy , administration , and clinical supervision with both adults and adolescents.
