Funeral services for Bill will begin at 10 : 00 a.m. on Wednesday , July 25 , 2001 at Rose-Neath's Funeral Home Marshall Street Chapel , Shreveport , LA. Officiating will be Dr. Chuck Pourciau , Broadmoor Baptist Church and Rev. Norman Sutton , Korean Baptist Church.

Interment will follow at the family plot , Forest Park Cemetery , St. Vincent Avenue , Shreveport , LA. Visitation will be at Rose-Neath Marshall Street on Tuesday , July 24 , 2001 from 5 : 00-8 : 00 p.m. Born in Stamps , Arkansas on November 13 , 1928 , Bill graduated from Buckner High School where he excelled in basketball and academics.He was granted an academic scholarship to the University of Arkansas.Bill's work history is long and varied.From the beginning as a twelve year old building fires in the Buckner Depot , he progressed to summer jobs in Fort Worth aircraft factories and professional driving in Minden and Shreveport.Bill worked as a supervisor at the Louisiana Ordinance Plant.He spent twenty-one years in management with Selber Bros. and twenty-two years in sales and marketing with Southland Printing Company where his loyal , faithful , and productive service achieved national recognition.Bill was an active member at Broadmoor Baptist Church.He had a unique musical ability.In his youth he formed a muscial group , performed regionally , and recorded in Nashville.He donated many years of service to local churches as a choir director , developing music programs in addition to full time employment.That beautiful voice will not be stilled.He found time for active participation in the Y.M.C.A. , Boy Scouts of America , political action groups , and community activities.Starting in 1956 , Bill enjoyed the challenge and camaraderie of local and regional Toastmaster groups.Bill was preceded in death by a precious infant grandson , William Glen , Jr. , his parents , John and Sallie Reeves , brothers Riley and Darrius Reeves , and a sister Ruth.He is survived by his soulmate and sweetheart of fifty-one years , Mary Nell , their sons Rodney J. and his wife Rebecca , and W. Glen and his wife Pamela , grandson Rodney and granddaughter Rachel , step-grandchildren Karen and Robyn Jackson , sisters Peggie Harris of Crosby , Texas and her husband Thomas and Deanne Frye and her husband Thomas of Minden , LA. Pallbearers will be William Whitton , Hal Fulghum , Paul J. Collier , Bradley Foulk , Douglas Frye , David Frye , Randy Callaway , and Kenneth Callaway.
