"L&H's advanced speech technology made CyberGenie® the most flexible and convenient communication system available for small office and home office workers," said Terry Baker, vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for Cygnion. "Where the obvious artificiality of other synthetic speech engines can seem grating to users, L&H uses a natural-sounding voice that is easy on the ears. L&H's technology puts CyberGenie in a class by itself."
CyberGenie® uses L&H technology to enable users to call anyone in their electronic address book by name, and to tell the system what to do next. To set up a conference call, for example, the user tells the system to "Call Tom," "Call Mary," then "Start a conference." Since users interact by voice, they need not memorize any special keypad sequences.
...
"CyberGenie benefits from L&H's text-to-speech technology in ways that universal messaging systems' previous generation could not," Baker said. "L&H has a much more natural-sounding voice for e-mail reading and control. By taking advantage of L&H's industry-leading technology, CyberGenie is pioneering a new class of affordable, easy-to-use voice-controlled virtual assistant."
