Terry Baker, a 47-year-old father of four says he doesn't necessarily need to read a book to known God's purpose for him.

"I've never been a perfect person, but I know when God looks at me, he sees me as perfect because I am his son," says Baker, his eyes filling with tears.

But he is hopeful that "40 Days" can revive his church.

Since he joined Longs Peak Southern Baptist Church in 1988, attendance has dipped form 150 to barely 40, largely due to what church members say was a lack of good leadership.
