Simon Baker

Simon has overall responsibility for the work of the Department.Within the Department's training brief his focus is on Reader selection and training and other programmes which are run in partnership with the University of Winchester.He is also the co-ordinator of the induction and in-service training offered to Churchwardens.A major part of his responsibility relates to the processes of pastoral planning and the work of the Areas Pastoral Committees.He is available to parishes and deaneries to speak about the work of the Department, the nature of the church and ministry today.

Simon oversees the pastoral support of ordinands and their families during training, arranges their maintenance grants and assists ordinands in finding title parishes.
