BAKER Barbara (Ezzie) Baker, age 66, of Shelton, beloved wife of Robert E. Baker, went home to be with God on Sunday, January 20, 2002, in Griffin Hospital, Derby.Mrs. Baker was born on July 28, 1935, in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Edward and June (Costello) Ezzie, and had been a Stratford resident most of her life until moving to Shelton in 1979.While residing in Stratford, she was active in town politics.She was a former Girl Scout leader and past president of the PTA at Franklin School, Stratford.She was a former employee of Griffin Hospital, and was a retired assistant director of the Shelton Senior Center.She was highly talented in many crafts.She was extremely proud of two daughters, four grandsons, and one granddaughter.Survivors in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Paula (Kopcik) O-Malley of Shelton and Diane (Kopcik) Halloran and her husband Laurence, both of Norwalk; one brother, Dennis Ezzie of Bridgeport; two sisters, Audrey Jenco of Shelton and Lorraine Supchak of Pennsylvania; and her five grandchildren, Daniel, Sean, Ryan, Connor and Kelly Halloran, all of Norwalk; and several nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her first husband, Emil J. Kopcik.Friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Wednesday, January 23, 2002, at 8 a.m. from the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, and at 9 a.m. in Saint James Roman Catholic Church, Stratford, for a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial.Interment will follow in Saint Michael-s Cemetery, Stratford.Friends may call Tuesday (TODAY) from 4 to 8 p.m.
