Mr. Bail responded that he would like to guarantee the Council that it will be done, but the way things have gone he can't do that.
He stated that he knows that they put in some lines and are working on the trying to get the base in, and he will talk to Virginia this week to see if we can push it along.

Mr. Bail responded that they were originally going to start them before 13th was done; however, he doesn't know where that is at now on their schedule.
Councilmember Vetter requested that Mr. Bail give the schools a heads up on the fact that this construction will not be completed before school begins.
Council Vice President Holy stated that he would like a written explanation as to why the project is not done there, and if there was a project completion date with the Corps on that project, why it isn't getting done.
He added that being a resident down there, and driving by the construction site, there were many days when the contractor wasn't on site doing anything, and to put the children's safety at risk, and that was one of the things that was discussed when the project was awarded, really concerns him.
