David Baca joined HYTEC as a mechanical designer in 1998.He has a diploma in Electromechanical Drafting Technology from the Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute, a certificate in Program and Project Management-Principles and Practice from the University of California, and he has taken several continuing education courses in computer aided design and geometric dimensioning.Mr. Baca has worked as a designer/draftsman for the past 11 years with Santa Fe Technical Design, the Los Alamos National Laboratory, Johnson Controls, and the Honeywell Defense Avionics Systems Division.He has expertise in detailing and processing revisions to engineering documentation, both electrical and mechanical.Mr. Baca has worked in accelerator physics doing mechanical design of related accelerator components and structures; served as a team leader for utility mapping and special projects mapping; provided layouts and drawings to support the ATLAS Pulsed Power Project; and worked with a design team drafting schematics and cable drawings.At HYTEC, Mr. Baca is responsible for IGBT structure design and fabrication liaison on the LANL Spallation Neutron Source program.
