Senior Public Relations major Ricardo Ayala, a native of Downers Grove, Illinois and event coordinator, hopes the program will result in "higher grades, the formation of tutor-led study groups, open discussion between professors and tutors, and a community-based concern for academics."

"The 'World Series of Pop Culture' is a fun and non-threatening way for students, faculty, and staff to laugh, learn, and enjoy a different type of intellect rarely seen in the classroom," he continued."This event is programmed to provide an entertaining atmosphere to serve as the building blocks of a newly-strengthened academic community where students, faculty, and tutors work closely together to enhance the overall education received at Saint Joseph's College."
